What it is

Mint Pro is a publishing application DJ is building to turn structured manuscripts into consistent publication files. Authors work with the structure of the book while controlled templates and deterministic layout handle presentation, preview, and EPUB/PDF output.

Why it exists

Book production can become a long negotiation with repeated formatting decisions. Mint Pro grew from a simpler question: what if the manuscript could remain structured while the publishing system applied those decisions reliably?

What makes it different

It is not a blank canvas for decorating pages one at a time. The emphasis is on repeatable rules, clean templates, and dependable output from the same manuscript structure.

What is working now

The current native Android implementation is designed for tablets and includes structured editing, controlled publishing templates, autosave, and a six-importer manuscript pipeline. Its export architecture produces EPUB and PDF output from the same book structure. The EPUB 3.3 output has passed epubcheck 5.1.0 with zero errors or warnings, including tests for special characters and empty chapters.

The application has also been through repeated real-device correction and an accessibility review of its controls and descriptions. That work is implementation evidence, not a release announcement.

Where it is now

Mint Pro is the current build on the Workshop workbench. EPUB generation has been validated, while PDF appearance and behavior still need continued device confirmation. A more tablet-specific two-pane editing layout and further device, performance, and publishing checks also remain unfinished. No release or availability details have been announced.
